WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - The Buccaneer's softball team ended its Spring Trip with a pair of losses Friday morning. Beloit lost to Minnesota-Morris 8-4 in the first game, before falling to Roger Williams by a score of 11-1 in five innings.

In the day's first game, Minnesota-Morris struck first with an RBI double to center field. Beloit would match that in the top of the second when
Angela Donath scored on a sac fly by
Sydney Harbison. Morris then scored the next five runs to take a 6-1 advantage into the fifth, which saw
Maddie Moser close the gap for the Buccaneers with a two-run double to left center. Breana Arteaga added an RBI double in the seventh for the Buccaneers.

Beloit finished with three hits, coming off the bat of Arteaga, Moser, and Donath. Minnesota-Morris recorded seven hits, including two by Tori Nichols, who also drove in a pair of runs.

The second and final game of the day, and of the trip saw Roger Williams University defeat the Buccaneers 11-1, despite scoring runs in just two innings. Roger Williams opened up a big lead with a six-run third inning. Beloit's lone run came in the fourth, which saw
Siddalee Meyers drive in
G Calderon with a single to short. Roger Williams then put the game away with a five-run fifth.

Beloit finished with five hits, all singles, coming from Arteaga, Donath, Meyers,
Jocelyn Jordan, and
Stella Lutes. Roger Williams finished with 10 hits, including two players with a multi-hit game. Roger Williams' starting pitcher did not allow an earned run in a five-inning complete game.
The Buccaneers will now return home to Wisconsin where they'll host Rockford University in a doubleheader on Thursday, beginning at 3 p.m. Those games will be played at Strong Stadium Softball Complex in Beloit, Wis.
