BELOIT, Wis. - Beloit's women's lacrosse team fell to Aurora University by a score of 21-2 Tuesday night. The Spartans also outshot the Bucs by a 35-7 margin.
Aurora (10-1, 3-0 NACC) wasted no time, scoring three goals in the first minute of the contest and 10 goals in the opening quarter. The Spartans made the score 14-0 before Beloit (2-6, 0-3 NACC) got on the board in the final minute of the first half when
Johanna McNair scored on an assist from
Alexxa Schubert. Beloit's only other goal on the day came unassisted from
Paige Airaudi in the final quarter.
Aurora's Monique Gibson led all players with five goals, to go along with three assists. Margaret Flanagan and Jessica Boyland each recorded a game-high four assists.
The Buccaneers will try to rebound on Saturday, April 22 when they'll host Illinois Tech. That game will begin at 3 p.m. at Strong Stadium in Beloit, Wis.
