AURORA, Ill. - Aurora University defeated Beloit College's men's lacrosse team by a score of 31-1 Wednesday night in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action. The Spartans also held an 84-4 shot advantage, including 30-0 in the first quarter.
In that opening period, Aurora (8-4, 3-0 NACC) got out to an early lead with nine goals in the quarter. The Spartans would score seven more times in the second and 11 times in the third, taking a 27-0 lead into the fourth. Beloit's lone goal came in that final quarter, from the stick of
Emmet Morgan with four and a half minutes remaining in the contest.
Beloit (2-7, 1-2 NACC) will try to rebound on Saturday when they'll travel to Benedictine (Ill.). That game will begin at Noon in Lisle, Ill.
