RIVER FOREST, Ill. - Beloit lost to Concordia-Chicago Wednesday afternoon by a score of 13-2. Concordia also held a shot advantage of 40-16, including 19-5 in the second half alone.
Despite the final score, Beloit (2-6, 0-3 NACC) took the game's first lead, breaking a scoreless tie on
Daisy Kleinhoffer's second goal of the season, thanks to an assist from
Johanna McNair with just over six minutes left in the opening quarter. One minute later, Concordia (4-6, 3-0 NACC) tied things up on Jessica Parker's 14th goal of the year. They would add another just before the end of the quarter when Kelli Pietrowski netted her 22nd goal of the year. Beloit then tied things up in the opening minutes of the second period when McNair found the net with her team-leading 19th goal of the season. Concordia answered with six goals in the remaining minutes of the half to take an 8-2 halftime lead.
The Cougars continued to build on their lead after halftime, scoring twice in the third quarter, and three more times in the fourth. Pietrowski and Rylee Orenstein led Concordia with four goals apiece, while Parker and Nina Naes each scored two goals. Naes also added a game-high three assists on the day.

Sofia Jeddeloh added 17 more saves, while playing all 60 minutes in the net. Her counterpart, Ryan McGee also played the entire game between the pipes, making 10 saves for Concordia.
The Buccaneers will be in action again on Tuesday when they'll host Aurora University. That game will begin at 7 p.m. at Strong Stadium in Beloit, Wis.
