RESULTS
WHITEWATER, Wis. - Beloit's track & field teams competed at UW-Whitewater's Rex Foster Invitational, with the women's team finishing fourth out of eight teams with 77 team points, and Beloit's men placing sixth with 30 points.
The Buccaneers' women's team brought home four first-place finishes, including one relay.
T'Aira Boyance continued her outstanding season, winning the 400 meters with a time of 57.51, which is the top time in the Midwest Conference in that event this season.
Hannah Welte added a first-place finish in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:07.75, which is also number one in the MWC. Liz Kalk also won an event, doing so in the high jump (5-03.00). Boyance also teamed with
Darcel Royster,
Alayna Furch, and
Jordyn McDonald to win the 4x100 relay with a time of 50.08. McDonald added a second-place finish in the 200 and a third place finish in the 100 with times of 26.39 and 12.80, respectively.
Beloit's men were led by
Nate Otis' second-place finish in the 400 hurdles with a time of 57.60. Beloit's relay team of DeGeorge, Zewdie, Lottig, and Atou added a second-place finish in the 4x100 with a time of 44.10.
The Buccaneers will now gear up for the annual Beloit Relays on Saturday, April 15 at 11 a.m. That meet will be held at Strong Stadium in Beloit, Wis.
