BELOIT, Wis. - This afternoon the Beloit College Men's Soccer team hosted the Warhawks of UW-Whitewater. Despite being out matched offensively, the Bucs held their own and fell 0-1.
UWW out shot BC 22 to 8 and on goal 10 to 4. The Warhawks lone goal came off a set corner kick.
Beloit's first chance came in the 38th minute when
Israel Zewdie (Las Vegas, Nev.) fired one straight away before a solid keeper save. The Bucs three other chances came in the 2nd half.
Derek Veenstra (Three Rivers, MI) got his chance in the 62nd mintute,
Edgar Caracoza (Sheboygan, WI) got his first shot off in the 73rd minute and had the last second chance in the 89th minute.
The Buccaneers hit the road for their next match, heading to Eau Claire, Wis. on September 16th. The Bucs kick off against UW-EC at 3pm.
