EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - Last night and today the Beloit College Women's volleyball team played 4 matches at the Sandy Schumacher Tournament in Eau Claire, Wis. The Bucs fell in all four matches.
Match 1 vs Concordia Moorehead
The Bucs fell in straight sets (6-25, 10-25, 4-25) to the Cobbers, struggling to find a flow on offense.
Camille Ledoux (Sherbrooke, Quebec) led BC in kills (3) and aces (1) while
Keiki Pua'a (Honolulu, Hawaii) led in assists (8).
Match 2 vs UW-Superior
BC found more of a groove in the second match on Friday night, but still fell in straight sets (15-25, 6-25, 15-25).
Jasmin Bowers (Richmond, Texas) and Ledoux led the offense with 5 kills each. S
Siddalee Meyers (Orfordville, Wis.) and
McKayla "Maka" Simao (Sparta, Wis.) both added 2 aces, Pua'a recorded 11 assists and
Sydney McClellan (Eastvale, Calif.) tallied 10 digs.
Match 3 vs UW-River Falls
Beloit once again lacked offense in the first match on Saturday. They fell in 3 (9-25, 7-25, 9-25).
Kaylee Witte (Poplar Grove, Ill.) recorded 6 kills, leading all Bucs.
Match 4 vs Wartburg
In the Bucs final match of the tournament, Meyes and Witte led the Bucs with 4 kills each. Pau'a added 10 assists and Simao recorded 9 digs in a 3 set loss (8-25, 14-25, 12-25).
The Bucs return to action against Eureka on Wednesday, September 20th in Eureka, Ill. The match will start at 7pm.
