MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Last night the Beloit College women's volleyball team traveled up to Mount Mary University for a non-conference match against the Blue Angels (2-12). The Buccaneers (1-11) took care of business and swept MMU in three straight sets, 25-15, 25-22, 25-22.
The sweep didn't come easy for Beloit, Mount Mary clawed and made the second and third sets close. Despite the Blue Angels recorded 2 more total kills, the Bucs used service aces and blocks to make up the difference. In the first set, the Buccaneers used a series of small runs to keep the Blue Angels chances at bay. In a closer 2nd set, the Bucs ended the set on a 5-0 run.

The Buccaneers return to action and kick of Midwest Conference play on Tuesday, October 3rd at home against Grinnell College. The match will start at 7pm in Flood Arena.
