BELOIT, Wis. - The Beloit College football team hosted the Maroons of the University of Chicago for the 2023 Homecoming game. Once the Maroons (2-2, 21) got rolling, they overpowered the Buccaneers (1-3, 0-3) and ran away with a 48-7 victory. 

The Buccaneers held their own and kept UC scoreless for the first 12 minutes of action. The Maroons broke open the game with a five-plus minute drive that ended with a one yard touchdown run. 

UC took a 27-0 lead into the break. 

On Beloit's last drive of the third quarter that carried over into the 4th, they put together a 3 play drive that resulted in a 20 yard pass from Jacob Shafer (Dixon, IL) to Cooper Larrabee (Bow, NH). That would be the only BC score of the game. 

The Bucs hit the road next Saturday for a MWC matchup with Cornell College. Kick off in Mount Vernon, IA is set for 1 p.m.
