BELOIT, Wis. - The Beloit College Men's soccer team traveled to Monmouth, Ill. for an afternoon matchup with the Fighting Scots (1-8-1, 0-1-1). The Buccaneers (1-7-0, 1-1-0) secured the victory behind a hat trick from Allan Hernandez (Vista, CA). 

BC got on the board first in the 1st half. In the 23rd minute, Hernandez found the back of the net from a ball off the foot of Benjamin Burrows. Just three minutes later, the Fighting Scots scored the equalizer. Hernandez gave the Bucs the lead heading into the break when he converted a goal on a pass from Israel Zewdie (Las Vegas, Nev.). 

In the 63rd minute, Hernandez gave Beloit a 2 goal lead when he converted a penalty kick. Monmouth began to mount a comeback with a second goal in the 80th minute, that made the score 3-2 in the Bucs favor. Derek Veenstra (Three Rivers, MI) slammed the door on any Monmouth comeback with BC's 4th and final goal in the 83rd minute. Aiden Everett (Odessa, TX) had the assist on Veenstra's goal. 

Beloit heads up to Appleton, Wis. on Tuesday, October 3rd for a midweek MWC game against Lawrence University. Kick off is set for 7 p.m.
