MONMOUTH, Ill. - Earlier today the Beloit College Volleyball team wrapped up their weekend road trip at Monmouth College. The Buccaneers (2-17, 0-4 MWC) dropped straight sets to the Fighting Scots (15-9, 4-1 MWC), 25-11, 25-17, 25-15.
McKayla "Maka" Simao (Sparta, Wis.) had her name all over the Beloit box score, leading the team in kills, aces and digs. Simao tallied seven kills, one ace and seven digs. Freshman
Emily Ortiz (Aurora, IL) led the setters with eleven assists.
Selin Tufte (Clarkdale, AZ) and
Lizzie Paschal (Holbrook, AZ) added four and three respectively.
The Buccaneers return home on Wednesday, October 23rd to host Cornell College. Cornell comes into the match undefeated in MWC play. First serve from Flood arena is set for 7 pm.
