BELOIT, Wis. - One goal was all that separated the Beloit College Women's soccer team and the Lake Froest College Foresters. The Buccaneers (4-9-3, 3-2-1 MWC) surrendered the goal in the 22nd minute to the Foresters (10-2-3, 5-0-1 MWC) and couldn't connect on any chances to level the game. 

The Buccaneers first chance to tie the game at one came in the 51st minute off the foot of Megan Thompson (Clarendon Hills, Ill.). The Forester keeper was able to get the tip of her fingers on it and redirect it. Alayna Furch (Saint Charles, Mo.) had a chance in the 70th minute but the shot went too low and the LFC keeper corralled it. Thompson had one final attempt in the 79th minute but again the Forester keeper made an incredible save. 

On the other end of the pitch, Maya Betzler (College Place, Wash.) faced 10 shots, making nine saves. 

The Buccaneers are on the road for the remainder of the regular season. They head to Ginnell, Iowa on Saturday for a match against the ever-tough Pioneers. Kickoff from Springer Field is set for 1:30 pm.
