GRINNELL, Iowa - The Beloit College Women's soccer team faced the Grinnell College Pioneers this afternoon to start their final push towards the Midwest Conference Tournament. The Buccaneers (4-10-3, 3-3-1 MWC) struggled offensively to create scoring opportunities and fell to the Pioneers (8-4-2, 5-1-0 MWC), 0-1.
Beloit registered only two shots, with
Megan Thompson's (Clarendon Hills, Ill.) shot in the 15th minute being the lone shot on goal. The Pioneers tested
Maya Betzler (College Place, Wash.), sending six of their eleven shots in her direction. Betlzer made five saves.
The Buccaneers face a must win situation next Saturday, November 2nd when they head to Jacksonville, Illinois and Illinois College. Kick off against the Lady Blues (9-4-3, 1-2-2 MWC) is set for 1:30 pm.
