BELOIT, Wis. - This afternoon the Beloit College Football team hosted the Lake Forest College Foresters for their final home game of the 2024 season. Prior to the game, the Buccaneers (1-7, 1-6 MWC) honored 24 seniors for their dedication to the Beloit Football Program. The Foresters (8-0, 7-0) dominated from start to finish, defeating the Bucs 62-17.
The Foresters struck early with two first-quarter touchdowns. In the second quarter, Beloit got on the board when Jacob Shafer (Dixon, IL) connected with Dominic Guzman (Aurora, IL) for an 8-yard touchdown pass. However, Lake Forest responded with two more scores. At halftime, Lake Forest led 27-7.
Lake Forest added three more touchdowns in the third quarter, extending their lead to 48-7.
In the final quarter, Beloit showed some life late, scoring on a 33-yard field goal by Rafael Cervantes Jr. (Dallas, TX) and a 54-yard fumble return touchdown by Jaiden Ospina (Stuart, FL).
The Buccaneers hit the road for the final two games of the season. Next week they head north to Ripon College for a clash against the Red Hawks. Kick off from Hopp Stadium is set for 1 pm on November 9th.
