RIPON, Wis. - The Beloit College Men's and Women's Track and Field teams competed at the Red Hawk Invite today at Ripon College. The Bucs saw continued success on the track today with improvements and exposure showing in the field events.
Women:
The relays for continue to win for Beloit, both the 4x200 and the 4x400 relays earned first place finishes. The 4x200 group finished in 1:47.51 and the 4x400 crossed the line in 4:16.61. Individually,
Alayna Furch (Saint Charles, Mo.) placed 4th overall in the 400m with a 1:03.08, and
Candis Damste (Accra, Ghana) clocked a 26.34 in the 200m, earning her 2nd place.
Men:
Josh Yearby (West Park, FL) continues his stellar start to his freshman season, placing 2nd and 4th in his individual events. He ran a 23.09 in the 200m, enough for 2nd and a 7.00 in the 60m to place 4th. The 4x200m relay placed second with the group running a 1:35.36 and the 4x400m finished 3rd with a 3:34.30.
The Buccaneers run on Saturday, February 10th at the Roger Hayes Invite in Monmouth, Ill. hosted by Monmouth College.
