BELOIT, Wis. - The Beloit College Women's lacrosse team hosted the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds this afternoon. The Buccaneers (2-2, 0-0 NACC) were defeated by the Blugolds (3-1) 18-4. UWEC out shot Beloit 40-19. 

Scoring goals for the Bucs' were Maggie Mudd (St. Charles, Mo.) with two and Maya DeGeorge (Grand Junction, Colo.) and Johanna McNair (Fishers, Ind.) with a goal a piece. UWEC took a 3-0 lead in the first before Mudd recorded the first BC goal at the 7:45 mark. Beloit was held scoreless in the second quarter while the Blugolds marched out to a 10-1 lead heading into the break. In the second half, they extended their lead to 13 before DeGeorge connected for the 2nd Beloit goal at the 4:36 mark of the third quarter. Mudd added her second with under two and a half remaining in the third quarter. With under four to go in the game, McNair tallied her first and the Bucs' final of the game. 

Sophia played all 60 minutes in goal for the Bucs', recording 18 saves. 

Beloit returns to the field on Saturday, March 23rd at North Central College, their first road game of the season. The game is set to start at 1 pm in Naperville.
