WAUKESHA, Wis. - Last night the Beloit College Men's Lacrosse team took the short drive to Waukesha to square off against the Carroll University Pioneers. The Buccaneers (1-3) are still searching to find a groove early in the season. The Pioneers (3-5) out shot the Bucs 59-25 en route to a 13-4 victory.
Carroll opened the scoring, taking a 2-0 lead over halfway through the first quarter. With just under four minutes remaining in the quarter,
Ryder Story (Salem, Ore.) buried the Bucs' first goal.
Liam Walker (Elmhurst, Ill.) was awarded the assist. Beloit tied the game just two minutes into the second when
Will Palmer (Downers Grove, Ill.) tied the game at two. This time Story earned the assist. The Buccaneers' next goal didn't come until the 9:15 mark in the fourth quarter, meanwhile the Pios' rattled off ten straight to take a 12-2 lead.
Emmet Morgan (Downers Grove, Ill.) ended the drought with
Ethan Scutchfield (Lexington, Ky.) assisting on the goal. Beloit's final goal came off the stick of Walker with under two minutes remaining in the game.
Eric Seo (Woodridge, Ill.) played all 60 minutes in goal, recording 15 saves.
The Buccaneers' head to Lake Forest, Ill. on Wednesday, March 27th to make up what was supposed to be their first game of the season. Game time is set for 3:30 pm.
