Men's Lacrosse Struggles Against Foresters

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Earlier this afternoon the Beloit College Men's Lacrosse team took on the Lake Forest College Foresters in a midweek match up. The Buccaneers (1-4, 0-0 NACC) struggled to score against the dominate Foresters (9-1, 0-0 MLC) and fell by the final score of 23-5. LFC out shot BC 67-22. 

Right away, the Foresters snatched all of the offensive momentum. Over the first fifteen minutes of action, LFC registered 22 shots to just 0 for Beloit. To go along with those shots, the Foresters buried nine for a 9-0 lead after the first quarter. 

Less than 30 seconds into the 2nd quarter, Frank Pagano (Goshen, NY) found the back of the net for the Bucs' first goal. Ryder Story (Salem, Ore.) was awarded the assist. Beloit's next goal came at the 8:04 mark of the same period. This time Liam Walker (Elmhurst, Ill.) snuck one passed the goalie. After the first half of action, Beloit trailed 16-2. 

It took the Bucs ten minutes to find their third goal in the third quarter. With 5:07 on the clock and the Bucs' on the power play, Story used the man up opportunity to make the score 3-19. Jordan Rice (Riverdale, Ill.) assisted on Story's goal. Will Palmer (Downers Grove, Ill.) scored the final two goals for the Buccaneers. His goal with 3:47 left in the third was also on a man up opportunity. His second goal of the game came in the final quarter. At the 7:51 mark he scored the fifth and final goal for Beloit. 

The Buccaneers return home to Strong Stadium on Saturday at 11 am against Centenary College (La.).
