Fond Du Lac, WI. - Yesterday afternoon the Beloit College Men's Lacrosse team traveled to Fond Du Lac for a NACC game against the Marian University Sabres. The Buccaneers (2-8, 0-4 NACC) were overpowered by the Sabres (2-7, 1-3 NACC) who out shot them 63-36. The Bucs fell by a final score of 9-17.
Doing the scoring for Beloit was
Emmet Morgan (Downers Grove, Ill.),
Frank Pagano (Goshen, NY),
Ryder Story (Salem, Ore.) and
Will Palmer (Downers Grove, Ill.) who each had two.
Liam Walker (Elmhurst, Ill.) added a goal of his own to total nine. After a back and forth first half of the first quarter, MU rattled off three straight goals to take a 5-3 lead into the second. By half time, they had pushed their lead to four, 8-4. With 8:48 on the clock in the third, the Bucs had pulled within one, 7-8. The Sabres closed out the third on a 4-0 run to take a 12-7 lead into the final quarter. Beloit added two goals in the in the fourth but weren't able to slow down the Sabres who closed out the game on a 4-0 run.
The Buccaneers return home of Wednesday, April 17th to face league leading, Aurora University. Action at Strong Stadium will start at 7 pm.
