Bucs Offense Stalls At MSOE

BELOIT, Wis. - This afternoon the Beloit College Men's Lacrosse headed up to Milwaukee, Wis. to take on the Raiders of Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) in a NACC match up. The Buccaneers struggled offensively from the jump, only mustering five shots in the first half and 18 total. The Raiders fired off 63 shots. 

For the second time this season, the Buccaneers (2-8, 0-3 NACC) were held scoreless in the first 30 minutes of play. The Raiders (7-5, 3-1 NACC) jumped out to a 9-0 lead heading into the break. Beloit's first goal didn't come until the final two minutes in the third quarter when Frank Pagano (Goshen, NY) gave them life. The Bucs trailed 15-1 after three quarters of play. Scoring his first goal of the season, Jeffrey Battle (Deerfield, IL) buried a shot with 13:30 left in the game. Jordan Rice assisted on Battle's goal. By the time Ryder Story (Salem, Ore.) scored the Bucs third goal at the 7:25 mark, they trailed 16-3. Beloit's final goal of the afternoon came off the stick of Samuel Van Der Kolk (Grand Haven, Mich.), marking his first goal of the season as well. 

The Buccaneers are back in action on Saturday, April 13th in Fond du Lac, Wis. against the Marian University Sabres. Game time is set for 3 pm.
