MILWAUKEE, Wis. - This evening the Beloit College Men's Soccer team traveled to Milwaukee for a midweek match up with the Warriors of Wisconsin Lutheran College. The Warriors (3-1-0, 0-0-0) blanked the Buccaneers (1-5-0, 0-0-0) and took the game 4-0.
Beloit manufactured eight total shots, four in each half, with three of them being on goal. WLC notched 22 total shots with half of them going towards goal.
Santiago Gomez (Marietta, GA) took three shots and fired the only ones on goal.
Tony Vogt (Elkhorn, Wis.) and
Nicholas Williams (Fenton, MO) also tallied shots.
David Staats (Meridian, ID) got the start in the net, playing 45 minutes and making four saves before making way for
Ian Nelson (Sun Prairie, Wis.) in the second half. Nelson recorded three saves.
The Buccaneers return home of Friday to host Elmhurst University. The Buccaneers will be kicking off Beloiter Days, or homecoming weekend. The Bucs will use the weekend to celebrate their seniors as well as welcome Beloit Men's Soccer Alumni back to the Strong Complex Soccer Field. Kick off is set for 4 pm.
