DUBUQUE, IA - It took 45 minutes for the Buccaneers to register their first shots but once they did, their offense got rolling. The Beloit College Women's soccer team traveled to Dubuque, Iowa to face off with the ever tough UD Spartans. The Bucs (1-5-2, 0-0-0) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second half before the Spartans (3-1-2, 0-0-0) finally capitalized and tied the game with 12 minutes remaining.

Despite the final score reading 2-2, the Spartans out shot the Buccaneers 30(8) to 8(4). Megan Thompson (Clarendon Hills, Ill.) scored her sixth goal of the season in the 56th minute off a ball from Alayna Furch (Saint Charles, Mo.) to give Beloit a 1-0 lead. Anna Williams (Fenton, Mo.) netted her second goal of the season just six minutes later to extend the Buccaneer lead heading into the final 30 minutes of action.
