BELOIT, Wis. - The Beloit College Women's soccer team hosted the Kalamazoo College Hornets this afternoon in a rainy and slick match up. The Buccaneers (1-6-2, 0-0-0) conceded four goals to the Hornets (2-6-0, 0-0-0) while struggling to piece their own offense together.
The Hornets netted two goals in each half, out shooting the Buccaneers 21(13) to 7(4). In the final nine minutes of the first frame,
Megan Thompson (Clarendon Hills, Ill.) fired off three shots, two on goal for some of the Bucs best chances. In the 79th minute, the Buccaneers once again had a chance, this time off the foot of
Natalie Ortiz (Crystal Lake, Ill.). Her shot went off the post.
The Buccaneers play their final non-conference match of the season on Tuesday when they head up to Waukesha for a clash with the Pioneers of Carroll Univeristy. Kick off from Schneider Stadium is set for 5 pm.
