BELOIT, Wis.- This evening the Beloit College Volleyball team hosted the Raiders of the Milwaukee School of Engineering for their 2024 home opener. The Buccaneers (1-5, 0-0) hung close in all three sets but eventually fell three sets to none to the Raiders (4-7, 0-0). 

The first set went back-and-forth before MSOE went on a 6-1 run to gain enough momentum to take an 18-12 lead. The Buccaneers rallied late buf fell in the first set 25-18. In set number two, with the score tied at ten, the Bucs hoped to swing momentum back to them but the Raiders constructed an 11-4 run to put the second set out of Beloit's reach. The Bucs came the closest in the third set, dropping it just 23-25. They used small rallies of their own to force the Raiders to side out on multiple occasions. 

The Buccaneers were led in the match by McKayla "Maka" Simao (Sparta, Wis.), Selin Tufte (Clarkdale, AZ) and Camille Ledoux (Saint-Liboire, Quebec, Canada). Simao finished with a team high 5 kills and one ace. Tufte recorded a team and career-high 15 assists with 12 digs. Finally, Ledoux had four kills and two aces. 

The Buccaneers stay home for their match on Thursday. They will host the Dominican University Stars at 7 pm in Flood Arena.
