BELOIT, Wis. - The Beloit College Women's soccer team traveled to Winona, Minnesota today for a match against the Cardinals of Saint Mary's University. The Buccaneers (0-3-1) struggled to do anything offensively, only firing off two shots. The Cardinals (3-0-0) in turn recorded 30(9) shots, resulting in three goals.
Hannah Sempsrott (St. Charles, Ill.) and
Alexxa Schubert (Anchorage, Alaska)recorded the shots for Beloit, with Schubert's being on goal. Both shots for the Buccaneers came in the second half. Beloit used three goal keepers this afternoon with
Kaya Williams (Cincinnati, OH) getting her first minutes of the early season.
Maya Betzler (College Place, Wash.) played a bulk of the minutes, clocking 50:59 while
Daisy Kleinhoffer (Minooka, Ill.) spent 23:19 in the net and finally Williams at 15:42.
Beloit returns to the pitch on Wednesday, September 11th when they host the Muskies of Lakeland University at the Strong Complex Soccer Field. Kick off is set for 4:30 pm.
