Women's Soccer Stifles Prairie Fire, Earns First MWC Win

Beloit, WI – October 4, 2025 – Beloit College secured a compelling victory over Knox College today in a thrilling soccer match at Strong Soccer Field. The Buccaneers (2-7-2, 1-1-1 MWC) showcased a strong offensive and defensive effort, ultimately winning 2-1 in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

However, it was Beloit's Sarah Connors (Paso Robles, CA) who broke the deadlock at the 30:46 mark, netting the first goal of the game with an assist from Annie Lloyd (Orland Park, IL). This put the Buccaneers ahead 1-0 at halftime.

The second half continued with intense action. Beloit extended their lead at 49:27 when Connors scored her second goal of the match, assisted by Meara Plum (Wentzville, MO). This crucial goal brought the score to 2-0, highlighting the strong offensive synergy of the Buccaneers.
