RIPON, Wis. – The Beloit College Football team faced a tough outing on the road this afternoon against Ripon the Ripon Red Hawks. Ripon secured a decisive 49-0 victory. The game, played at Hopp Stadium, saw Beloit struggle to find an offensive rhythm while Ripon capitalized on key plays throughout all four quarters.
The Beloit offense, led by quarterback Jared Torres (Mesquite, TX), managed a total of 116 yards of offense. Torres completed 14 of 25 passes for 126 yards, but the team was unable to convert drives into points. Key receivers for Beloit included AJ Williams (North Las Vegas, NV) (4 receptions for 35 yards) and Kadir Battle (Miami, FL) (3 receptions for 31 yards). The rushing attack found limited success, with Wellington Hull (West Covina, CA) leading the team with 16 yards on 3 carries.
Defensively, Michael Snow (Parkland, FL) was a standout for Beloit with 9 solo tackles. Quentin Schane (Newcastle, OK) and Josh Martinez (Beloit, WI) also contributed with 6 and 5 total tackles respectively.
