Grinnell, IA – A strong offensive performance propelled the Grinnell College Pioneers to an 82-49 victory over the Beloit College Buccaneers this evening. While Beloit battled hard, they were ultimately undone by Grinnell's efficiency from the field, particularly their impressive 3-point shooting.

The Pioneers (17-7, 11-4 MWC) showcased their offensive firepower, connecting on a remarkable 50% of their field goals (28-56) and an outstanding 50% from beyond the arc (15-30). 

The Buccaneers (2-22, 1-14 MWC) faced significant challenges on the offensive end. The Bucs struggled to find their rhythm, shooting just 29% from the field (18-62) and a mere 15% from 3-point range (3-20). Individually, Hadja Bayo (Round Rock, Texas) put up 15 points with 6 rebounds while Johanna McNair (Fishers, Ind.) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the losing effort.

The Buccaneers wrap up the 2024-25 season on Saturday when they host the Lake Forest College Foresters at Flood Arena. Saturday will also mark Senior Day for Bayo, McNair, Oceanna Estrada and Angela Donath. Senior recognitions will take place prior to the 1 pm tip off.
