Men's Lacrosse Downs Golden Eagles, Out to a 3-1 Start

LOUISVILLE, KY – The Beloit College Men's Lacrosse team (3-1, 0-0 NACC) showcased a strong performance on the road, defeating Spalding University (0-7) with a final score of 11-7. The game saw the Buccaneers control the pace and capitalize on key opportunities throughout the match.

Beloit's offense was led by a balanced attack, with Ryder Story (Salem, Ore.) and Liam Walker (Elmhurst, Ill.) each recording hat tricks, solidifying their roles as offensive leaders. Rilan Larmore (Olympia, Wash.) further boosted Beloit's total with 2 goals, while Will Palmer (Downers Grove, Ill.) and John Imbriale (Brooklyn, NY) each chipped in 1 goal. In addition to their goal-scoring success, Walker distributed the ball effectively with 3 assists, while Palmer and Ethan Scutchfield (Lexington, Ky.) each recorded an assist.

The Buccaneers demonstrated their dominance in several key statistical categories, Beloit out shot Spalding 49 to 42. They recovered 32 ground balls compared to Spalding's 28. Beloit was efficient in clearing the ball, succeeding on 24 of 26 attempts (92.3%). Defensively, goalkeeper Eric Seo made 15 saves.

While Spalding managed to win 18 of the 22 face-offs, the Bucs maintained a strong offensive game and excellent defense.

This was the final tuneup for the Bucs before opening NACC play on March 19th at Illinois Tech. Game time is set for 7 pm.
