CHICAGO, IL - The Beloit College Men's Lacrosse team (3-2, 0-1 NACC) suffered a road loss to Illinois Tech (2-4, 1-0 NACC) on Wednesday evening at Stuart Field in Chicago. The final score was 19-2, with Beloit struggling to contain a strong Illinois Tech offense.
While the Buccaneers fought hard, they were ultimately outmatched by the Illinois Tech squad. Jordan Rice (Lynwood, Ill.) was the lone goalscorer for Beloit, netting both goals for the team. However, the team struggled to generate offensive opportunities, managing only 14 shots compared to Illinois Tech's 56.
Beloit goalkeeper Eric Seo (Woodridge, Ill.) had a busy night, facing a barrage of shots and recording 11 saves in 45 minutes of play. Cole Conway (Nolensville, Tenn.) added 2 saves in the final 15 minutes. Defensively, the team managed 15 ground balls.
The Bucs return home to Strong Stadium on Saturday to host the Foresters of Lake Forest College. Game time is set for 1 pm.
