Men's Lacrosse Holds On in High Scoring Clash Against Centenary

BELOIT, Wis. – In a closely contested battle at Strong Stadium, the Beloit College Men's Lacrosse team secured a hard-fought 12-11 victory over Centenary College of Louisiana. The Buccaneers move to 1-1 on the season while the Gents fall to 2-3 on the year. 

Beloit's offense was led by Liam Walker (Elmhurst, Ill.), who showcased his scoring prowess with four goals. Will Palmer (Downers Grove, Ill.) and Jordan Rice (Lynwood, Ill.) each contributed a pair of goals, adding to the team's overall offensive firepower. Rilan Larmore (Olympia, Wash.) and John Imbriale (Brooklyn, NY) each found the back of the net once, completing the team's impressive scoring effort. In addition to their scoring, the Buccaneers also displayed excellent teamwork, with Ryder Story (Salem, Ore.) providing four assists, and Walker contributing two assists. Isaac Guttormson (West Bend, Wis.) had one assist.

Centenary's attack was paced by Ethan Hewett and G'Colby Spivey, who each recorded a hat trick. Jordan Cook contributed two goals, and Gamble Harvill and Gibson Harvill added one apiece. While Centenary put up a strong fight, Beloit's defense held firm in the crucial moments.

In goal, Beloit's Eric Seo (Woodridge, Ill.) had an outstanding performance, recording 17 saves to thwart Centenary's offensive advances.

Defensively, the Buccaneers demonstrated solid teamwork, with 30 ground balls collected and a clear percentage of 19-25. 

The Buccaneers return to the field on Tuesday for their first road test of the year. They head to Richmond, Ind. and Earlham College. First draw is set for 3 pm.
