Men's Lacrosse Drops Senior Day Matchup to Raiders

BELOIT, Wis. – The Beloit College men's lacrosse team displayed resilience with a strong fourth-quarter performance but ultimately fell to a high-powered Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) squad, 21-5, on Saturday afternoon at Strong Stadium.

Despite the final score, the Buccaneers (4-10, 1-9 NACC) finished the game on a high note, scoring four of their five goals in the final 15 minutes of play.

MSOE (10-5, 8-2 NACC) started fast, building a significant lead through the first three quarters. Beloit got on the board late in the first quarter when Liam Walker (Elmhurst, Ill.) converted a man-up opportunity, assisted by senior Will Palmer (Downers Grove, Ill.), making the score 4-1 at the 3:54 mark.

However, MSOE's offense continued its pressure, holding Beloit scoreless through the second and third periods while extending their lead.

Facing a large deficit entering the final quarter, the Buccaneers refused to quit. Walker ignited the late surge, scoring his second goal unassisted at 12:25. He completed his hat trick just under two minutes later at 10:49, again unassisted, cutting the MSOE lead to 20-3.

Senior Jordan Rice (Lynwood, Ill.) added his name to the scoresheet with an unassisted goal at the 9:05 mark. The final Beloit tally came from Palmer, who found the net unassisted with 7:34 remaining in the contest.

Goalkeeper Eric Seo (Woodridge, Ill.) faced a relentless offensive attack from MSOE throughout the game. The senior stood tall between the pipes, making an impressive 20 saves while facing 41 shots on goal (70 total shots). Seo also led the Buccaneers defensively, scooping up a team-high 11 ground balls.

Walker paced the Beloit offense with his three goals on eight shots (six on goal). Palmer finished with two points (one goal, one assist), and  Rice added a goal.

Defensively, Parker Davis (Inver Grove Heights, MN) and Alexander Klemp (Broomfield, Colo.) were active, each causing two turnovers. Samuel Slabaugh (Lexington, Ky.) contributed three ground balls, while Ryder Story (Salem, Ore.) and Klemp each added two. Beloit was efficient in transition, successfully clearing the ball on 20 of their 23 attempts.

While MSOE controlled possession for much of the game, reflected in the 52-24 ground ball advantage, both teams committed 22 turnovers.

The Buccaneers wrap up the 2025 season on Wednesday night in Madison against Edgewood. Game time is set for 7 pm.
