BELOIT, Wis. – Beloit College Athletics proudly announces that five of its standout baseball student-athletes have been honored on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Baseball Team for NCAA Division III. The teams, released on June 3, 2025, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
The distinguished Buccaneers receiving this recognition are: Jack Alport (Arlington Heights, Ill.), Ben Schweit (Simi Valley, CA.), Connor Vogel (Palmdale, Calif.), Harvey Pena (Riverside, Calif.) and Miles Souza (Carpinteria, Calif.).
Adding to this significant achievement, three of the Bucs' honorees – Alport, Schwiet and Vogel – have also been selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists. This distinction, means they will advance to the national ballot, where CSC members will vote to determine the Academic All-America® teams.
The CSC Academic All-District® program celebrates student-athletes who excel both athletically and academically. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution.
The first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees for NCAA Division III will be announced on July 1, 2025.
This is just the latest accolade this season for each of these players. Alport, Vogel, Schweit and Pena each earned 1st Team All-MWC honors this year. Alport added All-Region honors with both ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball as well.
