BELOIT, Wis. – The Beloit College Buccaneers fought with determination on their home court at Flood Arena today but ultimately succumbed to the Grinnell College Pioneers and the Saint Mary's College Belles in 3-0 sweeps (vs GC - 11-25, 14-25, 11-25, vs SMC - 12-25, 7-25, 15-25). Despite the losses, the Buccaneers showcased moments of strong play and continued to develop their team dynamics early in the 2025-26 season.

Key players for the Buccaneers (2-7, 0-1 MWC) made notable contributions. In attacking, Beloit posted a total of 16 kills, with Selin Tufte (Clarkdale, Ariz.) leading the charge, recording 6 kills for the match. Naomi Murphy (Dubuque, Iowa)) and Kyra Suiter-Meyers (Orfordville, Wis.) also added to the offensive efforts, contributing 2 and 4 kills respectively. 

Defensively, Adelaide Schmitt (Aurora, Colo.)was a standout for Beloit, leading the team with 6 digs, showcasing her relentless effort to keep plays alive. The Buccaneers also registered 1.0 total team blocks, with Murphy and Suiter-Meyers each contributing to a block assist.
