WEST ALLIS, Wis. - The Beloit College women's cross country team finished fourth of 11 teams at the 2026 WLC Steve Travis Invite, hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran. They scored 108 points, behind only North Central (Ill.), Wisconsin Lutheran and Concordia (Wis.). The Beloit men placed 11th of 11 with 269 points, three behind 10th-place Judson.
Beloit's five men all finished the 8K course, led by Samuel Neubauer (Rockford, Ill.) in 31:12.88 (6:16 pace). He was 51st among 97 finishers and 38th in team scoring, just two places behind Judson's top runner, David Peterson (31:02.16, 49th).
Mathais Shoemaker (Clinton, Wis.) was next in 34:29.90 (6:56), 77th overall and 54th in team scoring. Sawyer Wall (Chicago, Ill.) followed in 34:50.48 (7:00), 80th overall and 57th in team scoring. Conall Witherite (Round Lake, IL) ran 35:32.56 (7:09), 82nd overall and 59th in team scoring. Abraham Benson completed the scoring five in 37:37.40 (7:34), 87th overall and 61st in team scoring. The five scorers were spread across 6:24.
Beloit's scoring places of 38, 54, 57, 59 and 61 added up to 269 points. Judson scored 266 with places of 37, 52, 55, 60 and 62. Judson's top three runners each finished a few places ahead of Beloit's top three, and those spots decided 10th place. Beloit won the battle at the back of the pack. Witherite beat both of Judson's fourth and fifth runners, Nathan Little (37:30.08) and Nathan Gribbon (38:01.21), and Benson finished ahead of Gribbon.
Addie Bogda (Collierville, TN) led Beloit with a time of 24:55.63 (6:41 pace) over the 6K course, 15th overall among 99 finishers and 13th in team scoring. Cole Miller (Salem, Ore.) followed in 25:31.46 (6:50), taking 20th overall.
Allie Roberts (26:00.46, 6:58) and Sofia Jackson (Newton, Mass.) (26:17.83, 7:03) placed 24th and 27th overall. Beloit's top four finished within 1:22 of each other and within 12 places overall, which kept the team's score low. Meghan Koning (Mt. Prospect, Ill.) completed the scoring five in 28:52.07 (7:44), 59th overall.
Ellie Nelson (30:32.12, 8:11) and Carly Carpenter (Sycamore, Ill.) (32:51.08, 8:48) finished as Beloit's sixth and seventh runners.
The Buccaneers are back in action on October 17th when they host the Wisconsin Private College Championships. The race will be held at Leeson Park in Beloit.
