Beloit College Athletics Names Juliana Stogsdill as Head Cross Country and Assistant Track & Field Coach

BELOIT, WI – Beloit College Athletics is proud to announce the appointment of Juliana Stogsdill as the new Head Coach of the Cross Country programs and Assistant Coach for Track & Field. Stogsdill arrives at Beloit with a championship pedigree and a proven track record of developing elite-level distance runners at the collegiate level.

Stogsdill joins the Buccaneers following a successful tenure as the Assistant Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at Lake Erie College. Prior to her time with the Storm, she served as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Lewis University, where she was instrumental in elevating the program to national prominence. During her time at Lewis, she helped lead the women's team to a 6th-place national finish and the men's team to a 12th-place finish at the 2024 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships.

Her impact on individual athlete development is equally impressive. Stogsdill has coached four All-Americans—including Evan Horgan (2024 Cross Country, 2025 Indoor), Hannah Smrcka (2025 Indoor/Outdoor), and Edwards (2025 Outdoor). Her resume includes the development of seven NCAA qualifiers, 15 All-Midwest Region athletes, 44 All-GLVC performers, and 14 GLVC champions.

"I am very excited to join the Beloit College staff as their new Head Cross Country and Assistant Track & Field Coach," said Stogsdill. "I am very grateful for Athletic Director Pat Miller for this opportunity, and I look forward to working with Head Track & Field Coach Brian Bliese to continue building the programs. I am committed to helping grow a culture of success and help the team reach their full potential and achieve their goals."

Stogsdill's coaching philosophy is backed by a strong academic and athletic foundation. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Ball State University in 2023, where she competed as a Division I student-athlete. She later earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from the Lewis University College of Business, while also holding certifications in Executive Coaching and Consulting.

As an athlete, Stogsdill was a standout performer, qualifying for the 2023 NCAA Division II Cross Country Nationals and earning provisional marks in the 3,000m steeplechase, 5,000m, and 3,000m. She was also a two-time GLVC All-Conference athlete and a USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree.

"Juliana brings a wealth of experience from highly competitive programs and a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed at the national level," said Athletic Director Pat Miller. "Her combination of technical knowledge and leadership training makes her the perfect fit to lead our cross country runners and assist Coach Bliese in the continued growth of our track and field programs."

Stogsdill officially begins her duties this season as she looks to build upon the established tradition of Beloit College distance running.
