Box Score The Beloit College women's lacrosse team fell to Hamline University 16-4 on a very cold, windy day at Strong Stadium in Beloit Saturday afternoon.
The Buccaneers and Pipers were relatively even controlling the draws with Hamline registering a 12-10 advantage. The Bucs also committed fewer fouls in the game but were unable to stifle Hamline's quick moving offense.
First-year midfielder Morgan Nicholson (Longwood, Fla.) took over the team lead in goals notching her 15th and 16th of the season Saturday. Striking first in the game for Beloit was Nicole Dolcimascolo (Redding, Conn.) with her 14th of the season at the 4:49 mark of the first half.
Nicholson found the back of the net with 21:55 on the clock in the second half followed by Fiona Milchman (Chelsea, Vt.) with 16:54 left in the game. Nicholson recorded her second goal of the game on a free position shot with 5:31 remaining.
Up Next: The Bucs head to Minneapolis for a meeting with Augsburg tomorrow (Sunday) at noon. Beloit's next home game is slated for Wednesday, March 28 at 7 p.m. against North Central College.
