Box Score The Beloit College women's lacrosse team fell to Wartburg 11-5 on the road Sunday.
Nicole Dolcimascolo posted three goals in the loss while Morgan Nicholson added a goal and assist. Fiona Milchman tallied the Bucs' other goal in the contest.
Facing a 5-1 deficit at the half, the Buccaneer offense started rolling in the second half of play. Just 34 seconds into the second half, Dolcimascolo found the back of the net on a (wo)man disadvantage opportunity to make it 5-2. Nicholson made good on a free position opportunity 19 seconds later to narrow the gap to 5-2 and Dolcimascolo followed in similar fashion to pull Beloit to within one, 5-4 at the 28:03 mark.
Wartburg countered, halting the Bucs' momentum with three straight goals to put the game out of reach.
Alexa Arakelian notched a season high 16 saves in the loss, her fourth straight game with double digit saves.
Up Next: The Bucs will head to Aurora, Illinois to take on the Spartans April 14 for a 1 p.m. game.
