Box Score The Beloit College women's lacrosse team fell to Benedictine University (Ill.) 12-8 in the Bucs' home opener Friday night despite an offensive onslaught.
BC tallied 18 shots in the first half but the Eagles' goal keeper thwarted 11 attempts to hold the Bucs' offense at bay.
The Buccaneers got on the board first with a goal in the first eight minutes from Kieran Rodning, her third of the season. The Bucs registered four goals in each half including another by Rodning and three a piece from Morgan Nicholson and Nicole Dolcimascolo.
Alexa Arakelian took the loss for the Bucs in net after tallying seven saves.
Up Next: The Bucs head to California to face Whittier College March 12 followed by a March 14 matchup with Pomona-Pitzer College.
