Nicholson Records Season-High Six Goals Against CUC

Box Score

The Beloit College women's lacrosse team came roaring back from a five-goal deficit in the first half but their comeback fell just short in a 12-10 loss to Concordia-Chicago.

First-year Morgan Nicholson posted a season-high seven points in the game including six goals and an assist in the game.

CUC jumped out to a 3-0 lead before Beloit got on the board with a Nicholson goal with 15:10 left in the period. Nicholson and Nicole Dolcimascolo broke up another Cougar run with the final goal in the first half followed by the first goal in the second 30 minutes.

The squads traded goals before CUC extended the gap to 10-4. Beloit scored six of the last eight goals in the game to nearly complete the comeback. Nicholson found the back of the net on the first three of those goals. Dolicmascolo sandwiched Fiona Milchman with two goals in the final nine minutes of the game.

Alexa Arakelian recorded eight saves for Beloit in net.

The Bucs head to Mequon to take on Concordia-Wisconsin March 21 for a 4 p.m. start against the Falcons.
