Men's Swimming Falls Twice At Illinois College Double Dual

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. -
Beloit's men's swim team competed in the Winter Double Dual on Saturday, losing to the host school Illinois College, 100-78, while also falling to Millikin University, 104-86. The Buccaneers produced five first-place finishes at the meet.

Camden Leonard won two individual events, finishing first in both the 50 freestyle (22.88) and 100 backstroke (1:06.43), while Ben Saladar also won a pair of events, doing the honors in the 100 freestyle (52.10) and 50 butterfly (25.69). Colin Bolger added a first-place finish in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 29.54, which was more than one second ahead of the second-place time. That trio also teamed up with Cole Palmore to win the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:36.91.

Beloit will now take a break from competition, before jumping back in the pool on January 20 at UW-Oshkosh. That meet will begin at 5 p.m. in Oshkosh, Wis.
