The season finale for the Beloit College women's lacrosse team was shortened by storms in the Madison area Saturday. The Buccaneers fell to Edgewood College 13-6 despite the game being called with 7:34 left in the fourth quarter.
Johanna McNair led Beloit with three goals,
Paige Airaudi added two and
Katrina Sanchez another. Airaudi opened the scoring for the Bucs late in the second quarter capitalizing on a player advantage and finding the back of the net off an assist from from Sanchez.
McNair and Airaudi tallied back-to-back goals in the third, both unassisted scores. After an Eagle goal, Sanchez found the back of the net with 3:51 remaining in the quarter.
Just over a minute into the fourth quarter, McNair scored again taking advantage of the player-up opportunity. Thirty-five seconds later, McNair struck again with her third goal in the game.
Sofia Jeddeloh registered the entire game in net tallying eight saves in the inclement weather shortened contest.
