CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - The Beloit College Cross Country Teams competed at the 2025 Midwest Conference Cross Country Championships this afternoon. Both teams secured 7th place, with Simone De Montigny (Neenah, Wis.) shattering the school record by a minute and fifteen seconds to secure 19th place. On the men's side, sophomore Dylan Malmgren (Loves Park, Ill.) was the first Buc to cross the line, securing 11th place.
WOMEN:
The Beloit Buccaneers' top performer was De Montigny, who completed the 6K course in 22:41.2, maintaining an average mile pace of 6:04.9.
Following De Montigny, Allie Roberts crossed the finish line in 45th place with a time of 24:27.8. Just behind was Addie Bogda who took 46th place, clocking in at 24:33.9. These young runners proved to be valuable assets to the team's overall score.
The remaining scoring runners for the Buccaneers included Sophia Jackson in 62nd (26:06.2) and Meghan Koning (Mt. Prospect, Ill.) in 74th place (27:06.2). All Beloit runners saw personal bests, a testament to their hard work and training all season.
MEN:
Beloit's leading runner in the Men's 8K was Malmgren, who finished 11th individually with a time of 25:49.5, maintaining a 5:11.8 average mile pace.
Other key contributors to Beloit's scoring included Leo Ramos at 33rd place (27:04.9), Cooper Rathmann (Milwaukee, Wis.) at 41st place (27:25.0), and Kembre Daniel (Chicago, Ill.), who finished 48th (27:32.9). Sawyer Wall (Chicago, Ill.) also factored into the scoring, taking 99th place (30:53.6). Rounding out the runners for the men were Max Muszynski (Milwaukee, Wis.), at 33:01.2 and Conall Witherite (Round Lake, IL) at 33:51.9.
