GRINNELL, Iowa – The 2025 Midwest Conference (MWC) Swimming and Diving Championships continued for the 3rd day at Grinnell College. After day three, the Buccaneer women sit in fourth with 270 points and the men, with 131.5 points are in sixth.
Jeremy Mueller (Machesney Park, Ill.) continues to lead the men. He secured a second place finish in the men's 200 yard freestyle with at time of 1:40.59. Freshman diver Jacob Fuller followed up his fourth place 3 meter finish with a fourth place finish in 1 meter to conclude his first MWC Championships.
The Buccaneer Women divers swept second through fourth in 3 meter diving. Helena Harrison (Chapel Hill, N.C.) compiled a score of 374.05 for second place, just 10 points out of first. India David (St. Paul, MN.) followed in third with 332.80 points and Elsa Gregory took fourth with 326.50 points.
In the lanes for the women, Freshman Lydia Nordgren (South Beloit, Ill.) continued her stellar meet, taking 3rd in the 100 yard butterfly. Nordgren touched the wall in 57.44 seconds. The 200 yard medley relay team of Maclaryn Leonard (South Beloit, Ill.), Lylah Murrah (North Pole, AK), Nordgren, Amelia Pullen (New Orleans, La.) finished fourth with a time of 1:52.76
The fourth and final day of the 2025 MWC Championships wraps up tomorrow morning. Action is set to start at 10 am from the Russell K. Osgood Pool and Deck/Natatorium.
