WHEATON, IL – Beloit College's cross country teams were among the many collegiate programs competing today at the Gill Dodds Invitational, held at Wheaton St. James Park. Both the men's 8k and women's 6k races saw spirited competition, with Beloit showcasing dedicated performances.
In the men's 8k race, Beloit College finished in 15th place out of 20 scoring teams with a total of 422.
Dylan Malmgren (Loves Park, Ill.) led the charge, securing with a time of 28:04.40. Close behind was
Leo Ramos, at 28:07.30.
Cooper Rathmann (Milwaukee, Wis.) recorded a time of 28:44.70.
Kembre Daniel was the fourth scorer for Beloit, coming in with a time of 31:53.10. Rounding out the scoring five was
Sawyer Wall (Chicago, Ill.), at 32:56.00.
The Beloit College women's team also competed fiercely in the 6k race, mirroring the men's performance with a 15th-plave finish among 18 scoring teams. They accumulated 430 points.
Simone De Montigny (Neenah, Wis.) led Beloit, placing 37th with a time of 23:56.60.
Addie Bogda was the next scorer, finishing at 26:17.60.
Allie Roberts clocked in with a time of 28:15.50.
Sofia Jackson ran a 30:01.40.
Carly Carpenter (Sycamore, Ill.) completed the scoring five with a time of 30:25.70.
The Buccaneers run next of October 4th at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Illinois.
