Buccaneer freshman
Johanna McNair netted three goals in Beloit's 21-3 loss at Alma College Tuesday evening in Michigan. Buc goalkeeper
Sofia Jeddeloh recorded 27 saves in the contest to set the program record for saves in a game.
The solid Scots' offense was tough for the young Buc defense to handle as Alma jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first quarter. McNair got Beloit on the board beating the Scots' net-minder with less than a second to go in the first to make it 8-1.
With a player advantage early in the second quarter,
Paige Airaudi found McNair for a second goal. Less than two minutes later, McNair made it three straight goals to cut the deficit to 8-3.
The Scots' defense stiffened and blanked the Bucs the rest of the way.
Jeddeloh's 27 saves in 60 minutes set the individual and team record for saves in a single game by six Tuesday.
