Beloit College seniors
Molly Bloom and
Chloe Hain were honored at halftime of the Buccaneers' home finale against Marian University Wednesday evening. The Bucs fell to the Sabres 4-1 in the game.
The Sabres took an early lead with a pair of goals in the first quarter and added another in the second to take a 3-0 lead at the break.
On the other side of the intermission, Beloit thought they had broken into the scoring column but the official waved off the goal indicating a crease violation on the shot.
Olivia Farbarik was able to break through with an unassisted goal with 5:13 left in the fourth quarter.
The Sabres' defense held the Buc offense at bay, keeping them out of shooting range for the majority of the game. Beloit registered 13 shots in the game including four on goal, two from Farbarik and one each from
Katrina Sanchez and
Paige Airaudi.
The Bucs were more active on loose ball situations corralling more as a team than Marian led by
Johanna McNair's six. She added a team-high four caused turnovers.
Sofia Jeddeloh tallied a number of fantastic saves in the contest with a total of 10 in 60 minutes of action.
