T'Aira Boyance won the women's 100-meter dash to lead Beloit College in the high-powered Drake Alternative meet hosted by UW-Whitewater Friday afternoon.
Boyance cruised through the competition in the 100 winning the prelims and semis before registering the top time of 12.68 in the finals besting Division II runners in the process. In addition to the gold in the 100, Boyance was the Buccaneers' top finisher in the 200 crossing the line in 26.13. Boyance was joined by
Montana McMahon,
Jordyn McDonald and
Alayna Furch in the 4x100 relay as the squad combined for a time of 50.44 for fourth.
Hannah Welte also captured a medal at the meet posting a time of 1:09.03 for bronze in the 400-meter hurdles. The men's 4x100 relay combination of
Ajani Joseph,
Ahmasi Martin,
Quinten Lottig and
Brandon Joly were the top finishers on the men's side crossing the line in 43.56 for third at the meet.
Other top ten finishes Friday included Furch in the women's 400 with a 1:01.69 in the 400 and Martin in the men's 200 with a clocking of 23.04 for ninth.
