Boyance And Kalk Earn All-Region Recognition

The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its annual list of Division-III All-Region performers earlier this week, with Beloit's T'Aira Boyance and Elizabeth Kalk each earning the distinction. The top-five individuals in each event from each region earn All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-three ranked relay team.

Boyance earned her All-Region honor in the 400 meters, where she ran the second-fastest time in the North Region (56.60), which is just 0.49 seconds shy of the top time. That time, which is a new school record in that event, also ranks 19th in all of D-III, which qualifies her for Nationals, which will take place on Friday, May 26 at 5:45 p.m. ET in Pittsford, N.Y.

Kalk earned her All-Region honor in the High Jump, where she currently ranks fourth in the North Region with a mark of 5-04.5. That jump sets a new school record and ranks 34th in all of D-III, less than an inch away from qualifying for Nationals.
