DE PERE, Wis. - Beloit's track & field team competed at the Green Knight Invite Saturday afternoon, hosted by St. Norbert College, with the Buccaneers' men finishing third out of 11 teams with 71 team points, and the the women's team placing fourth out of eight squads with 95 team points.

One highlight of the women's competition was the performance of T'Aira Boyance, who won both the 200 meters (25.75) and 400 meters (58.75). Boyance also ran the anchor leg of Beloit's first-place 4x400 relay, teaming up with Candis Damste, Alayna Furch, and Jordyn McDonald to run a time of 4:10.07. McDonald also won the 100 meters with a time of 12.91, while finishing third in the 200 meters (26.94). Also winning an event on Saturday was Hannah Welte, who won the 400 meters (1:09.39) and Liz Kalk, who finished first in the high jump (5-04.50), which is the second-best distance in the Midwest Conference this season.

On the men's side, Nate Otis highlighted the Bucs' day with a first-place finish in the 400 meters, winning the event with a time of 56.50, which was three seconds better than the second-place time. He also finished fourth in the 110 hurdles (16.48). Emiliano Reyes also had a good showing, finishing second in the shot put (42-11.50) and fourth in the discus (130-03).

The Buccaneers will now have one final tuneup before the MWC Championships, as they'll take part in the Loras Invite on Friday at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. That meet will begin at 3 p.m.
